Painted Caves

Milwaukee's Painted Caves play Middle Eastern-influenced psychedelic grooves that follow the Silk Road in reverse — back toward India. Their self-titled debut on Amarrass Records is desert psych, North African rhythm and Rajasthani spirit in one record.
The album was a fixture on US college radio charts in summer 2015 (CMJ), received airplay on BBC, PRI and WBEZ, and introduced the band to audiences on three continents. A special hand-cut vinyl edition was pressed in India in April 2017 — a first for the label. Primitive music for modern machines.
