Dubfounded – Ravana & Jumme Khan

Conceived and curated by Amarrass Records, *Dubfounded* is a powerful collaboration between underground electronic producer Ravana and Jumme Khan, a poet whose words blur the boundaries between devotion, identity, and social commentary.
Blending folk poetry with deep dub, reggae, blues, ambient textures, and experimental electronic soundscapes, the album creates a haunting and immersive listening experience. Ravana layers bass-heavy rhythms, field recordings, spoken word fragments, and atmospheric production around Jumme Khan’s raw poetry, transforming traditional oral expression into something deeply contemporary and politically resonant.
The project emerged after the artists first met at Amarrass Nights@Qutab in Delhi in 2018. Recordings of Jumme Khan’s poetry and conversations were later transformed by Ravana into six genre-defying tracks that move fluidly between folk traditions and underground electronic music culture.
Released on April 19, 2019, *Dubfounded* marked Ravana’s first release on the Amarrass label and became the label’s 15th album release.
